Journey Concert Review -- I've been to hundreds of concerts during the past 20 years and I've seen a wide variety of opening acts. Comedians, unknown bands, local bands, up and coming bands, acoustic sets, just about everything you could imagine. But until this concert, I had never seen a band's roadies open the show. That's what happened before the Journey concert in Rapid City, South Dakota. Members of Journey's road crew were the opening act, playing about 25 minutes of cover songs.

Boy George the DJ -- It is the dog days of summer for the invincible Boy George sans Culture Club. He started a European DJ tour on August 10th in Brighton, England, goes through Spain, Ireland and Wales. He returns to England to end the tour on December 8th in Newcastle.

Merry Go-Go Round -- The Go-Go's have come back together again for an actual studio album called God Bless The Go-Go's (their earlier reunions have been based on Greatest packages). It came out May 15, 2001 on Beyond Music/Universal and released in the USA and Canada. The first single is "Unforgiven", co-written by Wiedlin, Caffey and Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong. According to Billboard the CD entered the charts at number 57.
