Chicago: Stone of Sisyphus -- In 1993, Chicago decided to take back the control of their music and make an album without the interference of suits from the label and their unreasonable demands to make syrupy top forty pop to please the executives and maintain chart position. Kellie Coffey: Walk On -- I have always thought of country as music for guys who like to dress up and play cowboy on the weekend. What can I say? I have a few hang-ups, but I want to taste all that music’s rich buffet has to offer. With Walk On, Kellie Coffey has side-stepped some of the stereotypes I have held about country music through the years. The country music scene isn’t just some good-ol’-boy’s club; these are every-day people not much different from you and me.

Sean Costello: We Can Get Together -- Sean Costello has that gritty soulful vocal style that is a perfect fit for blues rockers and his new release We Can Get Together is jam packed with songs that focus on scorching hot blues-rock licks while he belts out every song as if he was living it, with straight from the gut vocals. Costello kicks up some dust and plenty of emotion along the way with this electrifying CD. When you open the CD sleeve there is a listing of the tracks and on the next page is a black and white shot of Sean jamming and looking like is having the time of his life. Once you hear this CD, you will understand why he is smiling.

Paul Cullen: Dreamdance -- After listening to Paul Cullen’s new release Dreamdance I had a hard time envisioning him as the former bass player for the rock legends Bad Company. He has an interesting story; after departing from the band in the early 90s he decided to take control of his career, taught himself how to play guitar and took singing lessons, and here we are with an appealing solo album that grabbed me right from the first track.

Mike Cullison: Blue Collar Tired -- Cullison has a strong country-honky-tonk vocal style on Blue Collar Tired. You’ve got to love the title of the CD. There is tired then there is blue collar tired. I guess because I am a white-collar worker, I’d have to call it white collar tired, but that just doesn’t sound right to me - not enough grit and sweat to it. The music has a tenacious, raw determination to get right to the point. Somehow, when you are playing country or blues with a honky-tonk underpinning, it all comes across loud and clear.
