Donnie Williams decided to take his song “Higher Power” from the album Just Like Magic and the meaning behind it to the next level with a special six track release titled what else? The Power.
Williams took an unfortunate experience and turned it into to gold by surrendering to a The Power and then turned his life around and consequently recorded this funky, R & B, pop album that has the potential to be a huge crossover hit.
Donnie Williams and Park Place meld their special touch and R & B roots to record six tracks that will lift your spirits and get you off your chair and set your life into motion.
The Power features a great groove on the bottom end layered with Donnie’s smooth as silk vocals, and of course the many talents of Park Place. I especially enjoyed the deep groove set by the bass with classy touch of the saxophone that made it complete.
The Power is an important EP for many reasons outside the realm of music and it holds a lot of meaning and truth for not only the singer but for millions of recovering addicts worldwide. Proceeds from sale of the CD will go to associated 12 step programs.
